Todays thought provoking question is what if there was no more oil? Lets ponder for a moment the possibility that we lose contact with that precious resource called oil. Not only does this cut us off of a resource for our plastics to be made but it also cuts off major transportation as well. Vehicles wouldn’t be seen on the roads after a mere two weeks of driving and soon everyone could be seen walking or biking where they need to go.

Yet how would this affect our economy as a whole? Currently we are already in dire straights when it comes to the economy in the U.S. so would this plummet us even further into economic hell? How would this affect life as a whole? How much would actually change in our lives if we lost this precious resource? These questions I leave to you, my readers.

We wouldn’t be able to get any of the supplies we need. We depend on truckers to transport goods from one point to another. We also depend on boats, trains, and airplanes to get us things from other countries. Yeah back before we invented gasoline we got by just find but, there weren’t as many of us living in one spot either. People wouldn’t know what do to and all hell would break loose if we ran out of oil.

Some of the major oil spills would not have happened. We would still be driving the giant banana boats of the 60’s and 70’s as they could have very well still had another source of fuel like natural gas or something. (there are cars like that in Argentina that people and even a few here that people can hook up to their houses to fuel up but anyway…)This war and other conflicts from the past may not have happened and there would be know Beverly Hillbillies because Jed Clampett would not have had any “bubblin crude” to make him rich. That would throw the world into complete and utter chaos. The only people that would be able to survive without it are those who already do.

well we already have means of rapidly separating hydrogen from water, we can use used greece such as from a fast food like Mc Donalds, theres solar power, wind power, etc… I think with the right combination of these resources and the right management (without someone trying to get rich which is 99% of the issue) that we could easily live on and progress into the future. Hell, this could even be what our future is. Think about it, wouldn’t it make us higher beings if we coincided with the earth instead of raping it like an old whore?

Until people start to care, until people stop trying to make $2,000,000 a year in personal salary, we will always be held back and unable to evolve in humanity.
