Todays question is what if Pearl Harbor was never bombed? Lets say that for some odd reason japan decided that it would be a bad idea to bomb Pearl Harbor. Maybe they ate rotten fish that day and decided to stay home sick. Or maybe they decided not to separate their fronts and focus more on the whole of Asia (I still like the first answer). Our lovely soldiers at Pearl Harbor would have gotten some sleep and the day would have went on for many of the crew… and Hitler’s war machine would have pushed on.
So how long do you think it would have taken before the Americans would have stepped in? remember that at the time America was passive at that point and did not want to interfere until Pearl Harbor. With that not happening who knows how long or how powerful the Nazi war machine could have gotten. Also if we did step in at a later date do you think that the Nazi’s would have overwhelmed the American forces at this point? These questions I leave to you, my readers.

American really didn’t want to get involved with this war. Even though the Allies were asking for help America refused. It wasn’t until the war hit home did we start to care. This makes us selfish.
I don’t think America would have helped out unless Hitler touched us. We would have let him take over all of Europe and Asia. As long as he didn’t touch us it would have been fine. I mean we let him get away with building up an army and invading neighboring countries for what 3-4 years before we did something about it.
We have to face it. America says they are here to help other countries, but really we area big selfish brat. Unless is harms us, or there is something in it for us, we don’t want anything to do with it.
If we didn’t get bombed we would have still entered the war. Our imperialism and isolation policy at the time wouldn’t last long. It was only a matter of time when someone would encroach U.S. soil and try to take it over during the 1940’s. But if we didn’t get bombed it wouldn’t have accelerated the Manhattan project and Asian men wouldn’t have radiation shrunk genitalia.

America was attacked by Hitler long before Pearl Harbor by his U-boats in the Golf of Mexico. We were shipping supplies to England when it was under attack by German bombers while at the same time we declared that we were on neither side of the war and that we were neutral. In my opinion, we were letting Hitler do his thing because we didn’t really care too much for Europe and its affairs and if they wanted to blow each other up that was their business. But we didn’t want to let Japan take over all of the pacific. Hitler only used Japan as something to keep us busy while he tried to finish his thing over in Europe. I think that at some point or another we would have entered the war no matter if Pearl Harbor was bombed or not.
